The exhibition of artwork resulting from my Artist in Residency at the Highland Wildlife Park, near Kincraig, has now ended. It was a very enjoyable experience for me and I have now sold six of the pictures. The remaining artwork is still for sale if you would like to get in contact with me. A big thank you to the staff who were very helpful during the residency.

Winter Whoopers on Loch Insh

Finally finished today. This painting is proving difficult to photograph because of the contrast between the darker and lighter areas.

These graceful migrating swans spend their winters in the Highlands before migrating north to Iceland for the summer. One of my favourite birds from the days when we lived at Welney in Norfolk.

A Bird in the Land

I am working towards my next exhibition as part of a larger exhibition of the Creative Cairngorms group. Glass artist Anne Bridgen and I are working on the themes of birds and landscapes for our joint display. My work will include new drawings and paintings and one or two mixed media pieces, all of which are based on observation, sketches or photographs I have made when out and about.

The exhibition runs from 7th – 15th November 2015 at The Iona Gallery, Kingussie, in the Cairngorms National Park. Further details to follow.
